Board Members Needed

Are you interested in seeing what goes on behind the scenes of the Recreation Program? Would you like to be involved in planning events throughout the season? Do you have any opinions on how the Program can do better?

Meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of every month at Roberts Cabin in the Henrietta Town Park. Meetings begin at 6:30pm and typically end between 7:30-8:00pm.

 

Other Volunteer Opportunities

We are looking for assistance with the following:

• Social Media Manager: Someone to run the Recreation Program Facebook account and potential start a Recreation Program Instagram account. Add pictures with descriptions and create buzz for upcoming events/new and interesting going-ons in the Recreation Program
• Equipment Manager: Handle any coaching/Program equipment needs throughout the season (Goals, whistles, soccer balls, field paints, nets, etc.). Research and propose equipment purchases to Recreation Board for discussion and approval
• Field Maintenance: Manage and recruit parents, older participants, neighbors or whoever is able to learn how to use the paint lining machines to keep our fields looking fresh and neat. Fix any potholes in the grass and reseed. [Great for green thumbs or anyone who enjoys gardening and being outside!]
• Sponsorship Leader: Locate and recruit sponsors within our community for use on team uniforms/names. Need to be great at communicating with businesses ranging from Mom and Pop shops to Corporate.
• Fundraiser Organizer: Seek out and organize fundraisers for the Recreation Program. Previous fundraisers have included special nights at local restaurants and sale of coupon books

We are currently looking for Sponsors for our teams! Each team takes the name of a Recreation Program sponsor and includes the sponsor logo on the gameday uniforms.

U10-U17 teams play all around Monroe County

U6-U8 teams play locally in Henrietta at Martin Road Park
